About Life Insurance El Paso: How We Take a Policy Apart

We are a life insurance agency in El Paso, TX. Before we quote anything, we take a policy apart with you: the face amount, the premium structure, the cash value account if there is one, and each rider. You see what every piece does and what it costs.

Why we start with what a policy is made of

Most life insurance confusion comes from one fact. Two policies with the same face amount can be built from very different parts. A 20-year term policy is pure protection with a level premium and an end date. A whole life policy adds a guaranteed cash value account and a premium that never changes. Universal life trades some of those guarantees for flexibility in what you pay and when.

So we explain the structure first. We show which components carry guarantees, which depend on interest the carrier credits, and which riders add cost without adding much for your situation. A waiver of premium rider matters a great deal to a self-employed client whose income stops if they cannot work. It matters less to someone who already has strong disability coverage through an employer.

Then we size the coverage to the job it has to do: replacing income, paying off a mortgage, covering final expenses or supporting retirement income planning. Each calls for a different build, and we would rather you buy the right one than the biggest one.

How we work with clients

  • Every component named and priced

Your quote lists the base policy, each rider and the premium attached to each. If a rider does not fit your situation, we say so and take it off.

  • Guaranteed and projected values kept apart

Whole and universal life illustrations mix guaranteed values with values that assume a certain interest rate. We walk through both columns so you know which numbers the carrier promises and which could come in lower.

  • Current policies reviewed before new ones

Many clients already hold group life through an employer or an individual policy bought years ago. We go through that paperwork before proposing anything. Employer coverage usually stops when the employment does, and the shortfall it leaves behind is often the real gap to close.

  • Beneficiary lines checked before issue

We confirm primary and contingent beneficiaries before a policy is issued. A missing contingent can send proceeds through probate, which is slow and avoidable.

Serving El Paso and the towns around it

Our clients are spread through El Paso and surrounding towns such as Socorro, Canutillo, Anthony, Westway and Sunland Park. We are glad to sit down at your place of business, or we can cover every detail over the phone.

Military families at Fort Bliss often ask how a private policy fits alongside SGLI. We lay the two side by side, including what happens to that coverage after separation, so nothing lapses by surprise.
